Podcast and New Media Expo 2007:With the increased popularity of video podcasting, this panel will discuss the first hand experiences of producing scripted serialized video podcasts. We will help to define the difference between “vlogs” or video diaries from the new wave of independent scripted series content created specifically for online and portable media. We will also share our decisions to produce for this medium as well as the lessons we have learned and successes we have had along the way. If you are thinking about producing regular episodes of your show with a regular cast, this session will give you the insight you need to avoid common mistakes and hear from those that are already finding success. Instructors: Julie Daman of Nontourage, Hayden Black of Goodnight Burbank, Stephen McCandless of Caution Zero Network, and Chris McCaleb of Big Fantastic.
