Ubercaster Beta slated for release …

I have been following the development of Ubercaster since its inception. It looks like the initial beta release will be available on July 24th. Besides the impressive sleek design, the application will offer a host of intuitive features, including the ability to design and configure a custom workspace.

Additional features include: extensive recording functionality, multi-track editing, encoding, and file management with an embedded ftp client. Head over to the impressive site for a glimpse of some cool screenshots. You can also view QT movies showing Ubercaster in action. This application looks like it has the potential to become a major player.

    Hello Paul,

Thanks as always for the great information that you provided (filtered and relevant)!

Might you know if Ubercaster can be used with MotU/Ultralight interface? If not I’ll dig through the Ubercaster site to see if I can determine the answer myself.

    Hi Aldo,

They make reference to:”…connect more than one microphone or input device to your Mac …”. My guess is the software will support Core Audio USB and/or Firewire interfaces.

More info to follow. I should have access to the software sometime this week.

Definitely looks interesting from the website. The ability to play filters and plugins in a multi-track record session could be very nice. You could in theory process out back ground noise and then apply RMS to a phone input to get a much better sound right?!? - Steve
