Rami PJO-550 Pro Mixer Update …

Back in November I posted some info about this cool piece here. It looks like the mixer is finally becoming available. I should have more info and estimated price shortly. The Rami site has detailed information available and a direct link to the user manual.

Update: Wow. Just heard back from Rami. 1175 Euros = $1400 US. This is *double* the price I anticipated.

Thanks for updating. The RAmi has lots of potential, especially for on location recording.
How does the Mackie d.2 compare? It seems the Mackie is designed for club DJs but the specs seem to be OK for podcast recording.

The Mackie D.2 is cool, however designed to be used as you referenced –>> as a club mixer with turntables/cd players, etc. It does have one mic input, effects sends and returns and few other cool options. I don’t see any reason why you could *not* use this for some sought of proprietary podcasting work-flow.

I am waiting to hear back from the Rami people in France. Of course I will keep you posted.
