Motu …

First let me say Motu, or ‘Mark of the Unicorn’ is one of my favorite gear/software manufacturers. Pictured below is the interface which is incorporated in my own personal studio chain. The 896HD has provided necessary flexibility for me based on the fact I don’t have the firewire interface installed on my Mackie Onyx 1620 mixer.

Besides the 896HD, Motu offers the 828 mkII interface and the Traveler, as well as other options. Digital Performer, their multi-track sequencer/audio production tool has been used to score many current successful major motion pictures. The next major upgrade to Digital Performer [ver.5] is due in the first quarter of this year. I am also hearing sometime very soon Motu will be announcing a new mid-priced firewire interface, possibly in the sub $500 price range. More information here at PodcastRigs to follow as it becomes available.

‘Rightlook Radio’ …

I’d like to introduce a fantastic new program, Rightlook Radio. If you are interested in aspects of Professional Automotive Reconditioning, this program is highly recommended. Host’s Stephen Powers and Mel Craig share business idea’s and personal insight based on many years of experience and success in this field. Join them for an inside look into this rapidly growing industry. Plans include in studio guest interviews with some of the most innovative and prolific entrepreneur’s in the Automotive Reconditioning business.

I decided to make this announcement here at Podcastrigs based on my involvement in this project. Righlook Radio is recorded in Southern California in a first class custom studio, with many pieces of gear referenced here at PCR, including Heil Mics, a Mackie Onyx mixer, and signal processors by dbx, Symetrix and Telos. Also, the studio recording’s are shipped to me here in NYC via ftp for post production and preparation for distribution.

Have a listen. I think you will be impressed with the quality of this program along with Stephen and Mel’s professional approach and delivery.
