		<description>Uggh, flash again. I was burned on the Fostex MR8 with it's dependency on "special" flash cards that had IO speeds high enough to read/write audio. I think they are getting better. But this is why I'm partial to HDs.</description>

I agree...I think this unit is well worth  the investment.  The only draw-back is its size relative to an Edirol R-1 for example.  I think if size/cost is not an issue this is something to seriously consider.  Believe me...I have my eye on it...

For podcasting, maybe not such a big deal, but I think in the long run, this unit will hold its value and perform better.

I'll probably upgrade from DAT to the FR-2 within a month or 2.</description>
