I received an inquiry this afternoon in reference to a telephone interface that I mentioned on a past podcast. The specific component was the Telephone Interface by Ramsey Electronics. For a high qulaity Digital Hybrid Host, the JK Audio Broadcast Host is another option to consider.

I posted a link over at the main site for a cool portable recorder that is hard to come by based on demand. I checked around and most places will not have it available for a least another month. The Edirol R-1 records in MP3 and WAV formats, with up to 2 gig capacity on compact flash memory. There are some audio files available at Edirol to check quality. The recordings sound amazing. It sells for around $450 and is worth looking into

I have just checked the site statistics. Wow. In three days-10,000 hits. It seems that the url was mentioned in a few popular podcasting blogs which pointed many visitors over to the site. I listed the site address in some forums as well. I have also received some emails complimenting the site. Thanks to those who have offered feedback. Remember that my examples are just a stating point, and components can be mixed and matched, etc. Feel free to drop me an email.

Thanks for checking out the site. As you can see it is in its very early stages. First I am trying to determine if I should switch over to Blogger or use Wordpress. Basically this would be just for the home page. I want to leave the system pages formatted as they are.

I recently added the ‘entry’ level system. I feel that for a bit more than $200, it can in fact be considered entry level for this price. This particular system is the only one of four that offers a direct link via USB to your computer. With the other rigs, I am assuming you already have a decent sound card or audio interface. With that in mind, the mixers offer 1/4″ TRS outs. You might need adapters or a conversion cable to link the mixer with your interface.

I will be adding links to podcasts that in my opinion offer high quality audio as well as content. You might be surprised with my choices based on the fact that only one or possibly two are listed in Podcastalley’s ‘top ten’. No disrespect intended, just my personal opinion.

If you click the ‘listen’ button up top, a sub-page will open with some pics of my equipment, and I attached the podcast mp3. I might ask around and see if anyone else is interested in having their equipment featured on the site, as well as a brief description of their production process. I will have my production notes available soon.

So, we will keep an eye on things, and if I receive some decent traffic, I’ll keep things going. Lastly, I have no affiliation with any of these companies or products. The components are just items that interest me. However, I would love to be able to generate some income, based on purchases through the direct links to support the site. I’m note sure if that is possible at this time.
